We’ll be running our ‘How To Make Money In Music’ workshop as a small group session. In the session we’ll take you through the ways musicians can make money from their music including tips on getting a fee for playing live, collecting royalties, earning from your releases whether they are on a physical format or a digital release, and building up your merch.
This session is perfect for those who have been playing music for a while but have struggled with consistently making money from their music and want practical tips rather than theory and ideas..

Finding Fans: how to build a fan base eager for your music

We’ll be running our ‘Finding Fans: How To Build A Fan Base Eager For Your Music’ workshop as a small group session. In the session we’ll take you through how social media can help you to build a fan base beyond your friends and family, one ready to buy your music and come to your gigs. We’ll give you tips on where your energy is best spent and some hints on how to get best from different profiles.
This session is perfect for those who already have a social media profile for their band or musical project but want to get more from it and make better use of the time they spend managing it.

DIY PR: Going It Alone With Coverage For Your Next Release
Small Group Workshop – various locations (half day including refreshments and templates) – from £50 per person (early bird discounted rate).
We’ll be running our ‘DIY PR: Going It Alone With Coverage For Your Next Release’ workshop as a small group session. In the session we’ll take you through how to plan for PR, plugging and playlisting for your next release (whether it’s a single, EP, or album) including building a press pack, creating a press release, and building a network of journalists, bloggers and DJs who want to hear from you. We’ll give you tips on timescales, and how to support with your own activity online to make sure you reach as many people as possible.
This session is perfect for those who have a release coming up and are considering doing their own PR and promotion, for the first time or to get better results than with their previous DIY releases.

More about our workshops and events
All our workshops and events are run by Noble and Wild founder Sarah Lay. She draws on her experience in the music industry running independent record label Reckless Yes, working as a music journalist and editor for publications including Drowned In Sound, Louder Than War and Loud&Quiet, as a live promoter, an artist manager (LIINES) and PR. Together with this she brings in digital and content expertise from her years as an award-winning content strategist and experience designer.
Our workshops are practical and make sure you leave with all you need to make a difference to your own music career.
